Prairie Leadership Studio is built on the belief that leadership can be taught when it is designed with rigour, delivered with care, and grounded in real-world practice. Erica Carleton and Emily McNair bring together the best of academia (research, measurement, evidence) and the best of practice (clarity, relevance, tools leaders actually use).
Together, they are known for being exceptionally qualified and genuinely down-to-earth — thoughtful, direct, warm, and easy to work with.
Emily and Erica met in 2021 while working together at the Hill Levene School of Business at the University of Regina. They quickly discovered a shared passion for leadership and for helping the people around them become the best they can be. Both had already been consulting independently for over a decade, and in early 2026, they decided to join forces as Prairie Leadership Studio to make a greater impact.
Their partnership is intentionally complementary: Erica brings deep expertise in leadership research, leader well-being, and quantitative rigour; Emily brings strength in learning design, facilitation, and creating executive-ready tools and materials. The result is a boutique studio that delivers evidence-based leadership development that feels both premium and practical.
